Welcome to su402’s web page. We’re glad you’ve found your way to our site and hope the information here is useful for you. Specific information (our calendar, events, and contacts) are for our own use unless specific, but you are welcome to use our tips and resources. Where we have found resources elsewhere, we have noted that as well. Anything related to official Girl Scout programming is the property of Girl Scouts of the USA.

You can be a Girl Scout from anywhere! We have a number of troop options to fit your family’s needs. We have in-person troops, virtual troops, and a combination of both!

Consider bonding with your daughter and volunteer to start and run a troop, we are here to assist to get you started.

SERVICE UNIT

  • FACEBOOK: For information from our Service Unit via Facebook, go to ServiceUnit402 (click here). You will be asked three questions to join. We do verify everyone and MUST be a registered member of Girl Scouts.
    Not on Facebook? We suggest to have one of your co-leaders or adult member to join the group and be your communication person. We do post on the su402.org website however we post more on Facebook for privacy.
  • EMAILS: Between August through May, Leaders receive emails from su402team@gmail.com around once a month regarding information from our Service Unit and what is going on within our communities. To avoid going into spam or junk, make sure to add us to your email address book – su402team@gmail.com so you don’t miss any important information from us.

Who the Service Unit Is

We are a group of nearly 100 troops, over 200 leaders, and over 500 girls in the following communities: Arlington Hts., Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire, Long Grove and Wheeling. We also serve private and parochial schools within those borders.

What the Service Unit Does

Service unit volunteers (team) meet throughout the year to share ideas, receive training, and talk about important announcements. They also organize events like community-wide service projects, workshops, camporees, celebrations, ceremonies, and more!
We are always looking for volunteers to team up with and help run the Service Unit. There are many opportunities to help from hosting events, fall product program, cookie program, badge workshops, outdoor events, etc. Contact su402team@gmail.com for more info.
